What is Vuto?
Vuto serves vuto-code-1, an uncensored coding model built on open weights, through an OpenAI-compatible API with pay-per-token pricing.
Did Vuto train the base model?
No. Vuto did not train the base model. vuto-code-1 uses open weights served through Vuto's API.
How do I use vuto-code-1?
Sign up with a passkey in the Vuto console, buy a credit pack with USDC on Base, and create an API key. Point your OpenAI-compatible client at https://vuto.ai/v1 and select vuto-code-1. Requests need a running GPU: the API answers 503 model_offline when none runs and 503 model_warming while one starts.
Can I use Vuto with Claude Code or the Anthropic and OpenAI SDKs?
Yes. Vuto serves the Anthropic Messages API at https://vuto.ai/v1/messages next to its OpenAI-compatible API, and both accept your Vuto API key. For Claude Code, set ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL to https://vuto.ai and ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN to your key. Anthropic SDKs take the same base URL, without /v1. OpenAI SDKs use https://vuto.ai/v1. Requests need a running GPU, so the first one can return a 503 error while no GPU runs or while one starts. The developers page has the setup details.
What does uncensored mean?
vuto-code-1 is tuned to answer coding requests directly instead of adding a safety lecture or refusing ordinary development work. It is still your responsibility to review and test generated code.
What does Vuto cost?
Credit packs cost $5, $25 or $100 and add 5, 27 or 115 credits. An optional Pro plan adds 25 credits every 30 days for $20, renewed manually. Pay with USDC on Base from the console. Usage is billed per token. Card checkout is not available.
Does a credit pack include a fixed number of tokens?
No. Packs add credit to your account and API usage is billed per token. Vuto does not advertise a fixed token count for a pack.
How do I buy credits?
Open the Vuto console, sign in with a passkey, and choose a credit pack. Pay with USDC on Base using the console checkout. Card checkout is not available.
What does sign-up store?
Vuto stores what it needs to run your account: your passkey's public key, your API keys, and your usage and credit history. Ask hello@vuto.ai to delete your account.
What about Vuto Lilt and the consumer-assistant roadmap?
Pages under /for and older journal entries describe a separate voice, browser, and phone product direction, not vuto-code-1 capabilities. The current service does not place production phone calls, book, pay, cancel, send messages, or change accounts.
